Tamiya presenteert weer een nieuwe racebolide: de Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO, gecombineerd met ons populaire TT-02-chassis.
De Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO is ontwikkeld voor GT3-races in 2020. Op basis van het vorige model wordt een 6,3-liter V8-motor met 550 pk gebruikt en is de aerodynamica aanzienlijk verbeterd. Hij beschikt over een automatisch gegevensverzamelsysteem voor raceanalyses en de motor start automatisch zodra het voertuig van de luchtheffers wordt gehaald. Dit voertuig biedt maximale veiligheid en wordt door raceteams over de hele wereld gebruikt.

Het 58750 TAMIYA-model op schaal 1:10 is gebaseerd op het beproefde TT-02-chassis. Hierbij zijn de wielbasis, bodemvrijheid, spoorbreedte en overbrengingsverhouding op vele manieren instelbaar en met de talloze optionele tuningonderdelen kan het chassis snel worden getuned tot een racewagen. De 4WD-aandrijving met centrale as, dubbele dwarsarmen en veerpoten op alle vier de wielen zorgen voor een natuurgetrouw rijgedrag en optimale tractie. De onderkant van het chassis is extra glad ontworpen en het batterijcompartiment is geschikt voor alle gangbare accutypes. Een optisch hoogtepunt zijn de wielhouders, die zijn voorzien van nep-remschijven.

Over het MB-01 chassis
Het compacte, 2WD MB-01 chassis biedt keuze uit drie soorten wielbasis en voor- of achterwielaandrijving. Zonder de accu, motor en R/C-apparatuur uit het middenframe te verwijderen, kunt u eenvoudig de bevestigingsrichting van de eindtandwielen en stuurstangen wijzigen om te schakelen tussen voor- en achterwielaandrijving; voor auto's met achterwielaandrijving kan een lage of
hoge motorpositie worden gekozen. De 4-wiel dubbele wishbone-ophanging heeft een symmetrische structuur en wrijvingsdempers. Geïntegreerde onderdelen zoals de motorsteun, eindtandwielen en ophanging vergemakkelijken de montage en maken onderhoud efficiënt.

Informatie over LiPo batterijen
LiPo staat voor lithium polymeer en wordt beschouwd als de batterij van de toekomst, die langere looptijden en hogere prestaties biedt. Het hoge aantal mogelijke laadcycli spreekt ook in zijn voordeel. Afhankelijk van de fabrikant wordt de levensduur gespecificeerd als 300 tot 600 laadcycli. Bovendien hebben LiPo-batterijen geen geheugeneffect, wat betekent dat ze hun capaciteit grotendeels behouden tijdens hun hele levensduur, met slechts een licht verlies van ongeveer 20%. Deze levensduur wordt echter verkort als ze niet worden opgeslagen met een opslagspanning van 3,8V. De accu moet daarom na elk gebruik tot deze spanning worden opgeladen.
LiPo-batterijen opladen
Als je een LiPo-batterij koopt, moet deze eerst worden opgeladen. Het is belangrijk om te controleren of de oplader compatibel is met de LiPo-batterij. Deze informatie is meestal te vinden op de oplader, op de verpakking of in de handleiding. Als je een geschikte oplader hebt, moet je weten wat de juiste instellingen zijn voor het opladen van de batterij.
Het is belangrijk om te begrijpen wat de informatie op de batterij betekent: Een LiPo batterij bestaat uit minstens één cel, die meestal 3,7 volt is. De "S" waarde geeft het aantal cellen aan. Een 2S accu heeft dus 7,4 volt (of 7,6 volt voor een accu met een hoog voltage). De stroomwaarde in ampère geeft aan hoeveel stroom de accu kan leveren.
Wat is de C-waarde? 
De "C"-waarde is een belangrijke factor voor opladen en ontladen. Het geeft aan hoeveel stroom er gedurende een korte tijd uit de accu kan worden getrokken. Hiervoor wordt de ampèrewaarde vermenigvuldigd met de "C"-waarde. Eenvoudig gezegd: een batterij met 6000mAh en 50C kan tot 300 A aan de uitgang leveren. Er wordt gezegd dat hoe hoger de C-waarde, hoe meer druk (punch) de batterij geeft tijdens het rijden op het circuit!
Veiligheid - een belangrijk punt
LiPo batterijen vereisen speciale veiligheidsmaatregelen. Veel mensen hebben gehoord van exploderende batterijen. Veel voorkomende oorzaken zijn overladen of mechanische schade. Om het risico tot een minimum te beperken, moet je altijd een LiPo-oplader met de juiste instellingen gebruiken. The batteries have C-rates of 20-50C and can therefore be loaded with 20-50 times the rated capacity, depending on the designated C-rate! For a short time, about 10-15 seconds, also with double the value of the continuous load. The C-rates depend on the requirements of the devices for which they are designed and manufactured.

This honest battery line comes from one of the largest producers of lithium polymer batteries in the world. The batteries are assembled, tested and packed especially for MODSTER after careful cell selection. Elaborate quality assurance processes during production and before delivery ensure consistently high quality.

 

Lithium batteries are rechargeable batteries with very high energy density and require special care in handling, as well as charging/discharging.

 

Tips: 

• Preheating of cold accumulators increases performance and service life
• Storage temperature at room temperature of 20-25
• Always store in a partially charged state at approx. 60%.
• Protect from short circuit, damage, overheating, deep discharge and overcharge
• Only charge with a charger suitable for lithium batteries with the correct charging program outside the model and on a fireproof surface
• Do not use or charge batteries with cell damage or in a swollen state, but dispose of them properly.
• Never charge or discharge unattended!
